Tempest of Change captures more than just a landscape — it’s about the unseen energy that stirs within us and shapes our experience. Dudley Beach, with its wild wind, deep blue ocean and shifting skies, inspired this painting. A camera couldn’t capture the feeling, so I painted it instead.
 
The lines in this oil painting twist and curl intuitively, reflecting not just the coastline but the flow of time — the cycle of sea to sky and back again. There’s vitality in it, as if the painting itself is alive. Symbolically, it represents the fusion of water and air, creating flow, tranquility and renewal.
 
The deep blues and aquas bring calm and reflection, while the copper-gold and emerald green anchor the piece in earthy grounding. The soft curves, intentionally designed, invite positive energy, as curved lines in feng shui do.
